Meet the Attorneys

Paul Smith graduated from the College of Santa Fe with a Business administration degree and continued his education at Webster University where he obtained a Master's in Business. Paul earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1998. 

Heather Hersh graduated from the Arkansas State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a minor in philosophy. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Texas Tech University in 1999. Heather has 22 years of experience in litigation. Heather primarily practices in civil litigation, family law, criminal defense, and probate. Heather started working at the Law Office of Joseph Paul Smith in 2017. 

Maisie Manuel graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2017 with a dual major in political science and international relations and a minor in Spanish. She earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of Arkansas School of Law and attended Cambridge University in the UK to expand her international education. Maisie is passionate about immigration law and helping families find comfort in the United States. Maisie has worked at The Law Office of Joseph Paul Smith since 2021. She recently married her law school sweetheart and co-worker, Carter Eaton. 

Carter Eaton graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a philosophy major in 2017. He then went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2020. Carter enjoys working in various areas of the law but has a special interest in personal injury so that he can fight to get injured people the compensation they deserve. Carter also enjoys criminal law. He has worked at The Law Office of Joseph Paul Smith since 2021. Carter is married to Maisie Manuel and loves getting to collaborate with her at our firm. 

Shelby Anthony graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in international relations. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2022. Shelby is happily married and loves calling Northwest Arkansas home. She loves spending time with her family and pets, especially outdoors. Her practice areas include family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation.
